Backpacks designed for a nomadic life

Reinvent your daily routine with style and freedom

Let's go back in time to 2019. Before the COVID-19 pandemic radically transformed almost every aspect of our modern lives. In those "before times," it's estimated that less than 10% of the European workforce worked from home full-time. The office was where it all happened: hard work, team meetings, and shared moments over coffee in the break room with a beloved (or at least tolerated) colleague.

However, since March 2020, everything has changed. A Pew Research Center analysis indicates that around 35% of workers who can work remotely work from home full-time (typically in the IT sector).

While this figure has decreased from 43% in January 2022 and 55% in October 2020, it still reflects a significant shift in where Americans do their work.

But "working from home" is only part of the story. For many, the home office existed only as a space to store a computer or some documents. When the pandemic closed office buildings, many of us took the concept of remote work far beyond an extra room in our home.

Backpacks to work from anywhere

Zermatt Horn designs backpacks that allow people to redefine the concept of remote work. Some of us can meet our deadlines and daily tasks in the quiet corner coffee shop. Others perform their responsibilities from some of the most incredible places on the planet. And many of us combine different spaces: from a friend's spare room to the back of a van parked inside a national park.

The backpacks we make are designed for an active, on-the-go lifestyle that no longer depends on an office location. They're simply backpacks for people who live and work without geographical boundaries.

In this blog, we'll tell the stories of 21st-century workers: people who have built careers that require or allow remote work. But we won't just focus on those typing away on laptops in coffee shops (although there's nothing wrong with that). We want to highlight fascinating people who call some of the most amazing places on Earth their "office" and who work alongside incredible people.

Here we'll highlight the people and professions that are redefining what it means to work remotely. We hope these stories connect us, teach us, and inspire us all to be a little more free and nomadic.
